About this Project
The United States has struggled with hate for many decades. Hate does not only negatively affect different people and groups but it also disrupts the unity and overall effectiveness of our country. Therefore, the primary purpose of this endeavor is to highlight various forms of hate in the United States including the history of hate, First Amendment issues surrounding language and symbols, hate groups, hate crimes, hate in politics, and social change. This project is essential because it displays crucial information needed in today’s society and showcases a detailed variety of categories. It also creates awareness of groups affected by hate such as African-Americans, Hispanics, the LGBT community, and other marginalized populations. Our ultimate objective is to educate society about the reoccurring hate in the United States and promote social change in communities and nations all over the world. Unfortunately, we cannot change the past but with wisdom and knowledge we can indeed improve and better the future for all people.
